President Biden’s executive action Tuesday to allow spouses of U.S. Citizens to apply for permanent residency and citizenship will provide stability and hope for hundreds of thousands of families across the country.

This move will help people who have called America home for more than a decade stay together with their families without the fear of deportation.

And as we get closer to the election and we see Donald Trump refer to migrants as “poisoning the blood” of our country, I’m glad to see President Biden reaffirm that immigrants make our country stronger.

Unfortunately, if Donald Trump wins in November, all of this progress will be undone.

There could not be a starker contrast between Joe Biden and Donald Trump.

Joe Biden understands that immigrants are vital parts of families and communities across America. Donald Trump wants mass deportations that would destroy those families and communities and hurt our economy.
