Friend – it’s crucial that our lawmakers hear from as many constituents as possible to make sure that we get a Farm Bill that works for PA families and farmers – and we still need you. Send your lawmakers a very clear message: the Farm Bill proposed by the Senate is the only way forward. 

Hi friend – 

The first drafts of the updated Farm Bill have been released by Congress, and we’re worried.

House Agriculture Chairman "GT" Thompson’s version will slash climate-smart agriculture funding and cut protections for farmers – including the many farmers he directly represents in Western and Central PA. A recent study found that Pennsylvania farmers could miss out on up to $256 million of benefits if this version became law. 

Friend, we can’t stand by while our farmers are used as pawns in a MAGA political agenda.

We need to stop the current version of the 2024 House Farm Bill from passing. Please tell your Representative to vote NO on this extremist, anti-environment legislation.

Programs made possible under the existing Farm Bill are so popular with Pennsylvania farmers that many are turned away because there isn’t enough funding to go around. In the last year alone, 45% of PA’s applications for federal funding through the Inflation Reduction Act were rejected due to insufficient funding connected to the Farm Bill.

Fortunately, the version of the Farm Bill moving in the U.S. Senate will protect farmers and keep rural communities strong by strengthening these popular, voluntary conservation programs, promoting programs that would help reduce carbon pollution, and preserving farmland and natural habitat for future generations.

A pro-farmer, pro-environment Farm Bill will provide resources to curb polluted runoff from farms and make local farmers better able to compete in global markets by increasing yields and lowering costs. Now we need to get this Senate version passed!

Our farmers are counting on every one of us to stand alongside them and raise our voices. We can help secure a Farm Bill that is good for farmers, good for families, and good for the planet. But we need you to send your lawmakers a very clear message: the Farm Bill proposed by the Senate is the only way forward.
