Today, we kick off our 2024 Publius Fellowship program, now in its 45th year.
A new cohort will gather for a kick-off dinner in sunny Orange County, California. They arrive after spending three months digesting hundreds of pages of our reading packet and half-a-dozen books.
Primed by Publius and The Federalist, steeled by the statesmanship of Abraham Lincoln, buoyed by classical political philosophy and Natural Right, and sufficiently alarmed by the history of anticonstitutional Progressivism, they arrive excited and ready to learn.
And they learn from the best.
World-class political scientists, leading conservative public intellectuals, former senior White House officials—and, of course, many prominent friends who enjoy stopping by to say “hello.”
They also learn from one another, often forming life-long private and professional bonds. We are even responsible for a marriage or three.
