A lot has happened since Emily and I first met in college. We won the right to get married, we got married, and Emily made history as one of the first LGBTQ+ state senators in Washington. *How it started → How it’s going*

But while we have a lot to celebrate, our work isn’t done. We still need Pride — and we still need champions for equality at all levels of government.

Right-wing politicians are constantly constantly attacking the rights, privacy, and safety of queer and trans kids. Bill after bill at the state and federal level threatens their ability to play sports, get medical care, and use the bathroom in a public place. To those kids and their families: Emily will represent you, stand up for you, and fight for you every day in Congress. 

One thing I learned early on is that Emily knows how to take on bullies. I can’t wait for her to bring that energy to Congress.

But first, we have to get through the primary — and that means raising the funds we need to spread Emily’s message! Can you give before the end-of-quarter and send Emily to Congress?
