Friend, over the weekend, I was honored to be featured in
a New York Times article about how NILC is preparing for the possibility of a
second Trump administration.
We all remember the era of inhumanity and cruelty that began in 2017 – children
torn from their parents, people banned from entering the U.S. based on their
religion, deportations leading to family separation, and the constant
degradation of immigrants from the highest office in our country. We must be prepared for what might come next and be ready for the fight ahead
of us.
As we anticipate what might come in November and beyond, we are fortifying our
legal and policy strategies and building robust coalitions to ensure we can
effectively respond to any threats. But we need your help to make sure we are
ready, team.
No matter what happens in November, your support today is vital. Your
contribution will equip us to face whatever challenges may come our way. If you
can, please make a donation in the amount of $20.24 to bolster our resources in
the fight for immigrants’ rights.

[[link removed]]During Trump’s first term, NILC played a pivotal role in fighting back against
his administration's harmful policies. We were the first to file a lawsuit
against Trump’s Muslim and African Bans, and we took the fight to protect DACA
all the way to the Supreme Court – and won.
No matter what the next four years bring, we will be ready once again to
fiercely fight for our communities, our rights, and our place in the country we
call home.
Every dollar you contribute strengthens our capacity to protect and defend
immigrants’ rights. Your ongoing support and commitment to justice are deeply
appreciated.
Sincerely,
Kica Matos
President
National Immigration Law Center
