We are excited to announce our 2024 MyImpact Challenge winners! It was truly amazing to see the work that young people across the country are doing through the hundreds of projects that were submitted to this year's Civic Engagement Contest.
Grand Prize Winner ($10,000 winner) - Anna Kunkel
School: The Seven Hills School, Cincinnati, OH
Project: Student Alliance for Immigrants and Refugees (SAIR)
Purpose: Supporting immigrants and refugees in Cincinnati through English education, welcome letters, baskets, and a writing contest.
First Prize Winner ($7,500 winner) - Sebastian Tan
School: Sewickley Academy, Sewickley, PA
Project: OutsideConnection
Purpose: Creating a job-listing website for formerly incarcerated individuals reentering society.
Second Prize Winner ($5,000 winner) - Grace Liu
School: Syosset High School, Syosset, NY
Project: Research to Empower
Purpose: Providing free research training to underrepresented populations.
Third Prize Winner ($2,500 winner) - Brayden Pape
School: Helix Charter High School, La Mesa, CA
Project: PATH Interscholastic Leadership Team (PILT)
Purpose: Combating homelessness in San Diego County in collaboration with People Assisting the Homeless (PATH).
These remarkable students, along with their teachers, and all of our prize-winners have made a positive impact in their communities! Our virtual fair event will be broadcast Friday, June 28 and will celebrate their projects. Join us to learn about these student's service projects and see how today’s youth are tackling local problems with innovative solutions.
