Look, Jack, I get it. No one wants to think about November—especially not if things go like they did in 2016. But if we want to avoid another 2016 shock, we need to dig in now.

Daily Kos is looking to recruit 100,000 volunteers to help Get Out The Vote in key states this fall. The margins in the House and Senate are razor thin, and polls show a close race for the White House, as terrifying as that is to type. Both houses of Congress and the presidency could be decided by a small number of voters. That makes every effort to get these voters to the polls hugely important.

Unfortunately, Daily Kos has been struggling to hit its fundraising goals in recent months. So instead of fundraising for our endorsed candidates, we've been focusing on ourselves so that this GOTV program has the resources it needs.

Daily Kos sits at the crossroads of news and activism. There is no other organization that does the work we do and, if we were to disappear tomorrow, then nothing would take our place.
