He’s rallying to fight back against AIPAC’s right-wing billionaire spending and the entire political establishment, including Hillary Clinton. Bernie is rallying for Jamaal because this is a race between the movement for Peace in Gaza vs. the right-wing pro-Israel lobby and Netanyahu’s war.
It’s a race between our progressive movement and corporate Democrats like Hillary Clinton.
And, as Bernie said, this primary is about “whether we will have a democratic form of government or whether Congress will be completely controlled by the billionaire class and corporate interests.”
This primary has set a record for the most money spent in a House race with over $18 million of right-wing, billionaire money aimed at attacking Jamaal. Most of that is from AIPAC, which has made Jamaal its #1 target because of his support for Palestinian human rights. We only have a few days left to talk to as many voters as possible in Jamaal’s district so we can re-elect a Peace champion and defeat big money.

Just last week, Hillary Clinton joined AIPAC and the rest of the political establishment by endorsing Jamaal Bowman’s opponent in NY-16. She made the endorsement even though Jamaal’s opponent is taking money from anti-abortion GOP donors. It’s purely a cynical move to try to defeat a progressive pro-Peace champion in Congress.
Then, on top of all of AIPAC’s massive right-wing spending against Jamaal, a crypto super PAC spent an additional $2 million against Jamaal.
This is an overwhelming amount of money in attack ads, but we know we can’t sit back and watch the political establishment use the completely broken campaign finance system to defeat us. Bernie knows he, too, can’t sit back.
When it comes down to it, the massive opposition to Jamaal wouldn’t be possible without AIPAC’s attack ads.
As Bernie says, once a candidate speaks out for the dignity of the Palestinian people, they end up on AIPAC’s “hit list.”
On AIPAC, Bowman said, “I need your help. They’re spending astronomically simply because we’re fighting for peace, justice, equality, and humanity — and specifically because we called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.”
Bowman’s primary against his AIPAC and Clinton-endorsed challenger is in just five days. We need your grassroots support to out-organize the right-wing money dump targeting Bowman.
