We all need it now more than ever
Coronavirus has shown us that the best of humanity means coming together in solidarity. There are so many ways we can do that.
Many people are under financial pressure right now.
If you can’t donate right now we TOTALLY understand.
We'll keep asking you to take other actions.
If you are able to donate, I’m asking you to please consider setting up a regular donation today - because I know you care about our NHS.
Dear
John
,
I’m writing today to ask if you can donate £5 a month to protect our NHS from trade deals at this crucial time.
In the last two days we've been blown away by the generosity and solidarity of people on this list. We’ve already got half the regular donors we need to make this campaign happen. Will you join them?
Our NHS is saving lives – you can help save it from a trade deal with Trump.
We need YOUR support to legally protect our NHS at this crucial time.
Donate £5 a month to protect our NHS ([link removed])
You might have seen the news this week – while coronavirus is killing people, Donald Trump is cutting funding to the World Health Organisation.
In the middle of this pandemic!
This is the man who wants to get his hands on OUR NHS. Don’t let him.
Right now, the Trade Bill the government has published offers NO protection from Trump and co.
Your donation will make it possible to campaign for a clear, legal guarantee in the bill, so that the NHS will be protected in all trade deals.
We now need 87 people to set up a regular donation of £5 a month so we can campaign on this for 6 months.
Will you be one of the people we rely on to make this happen?
YES I'll make this happen ([link removed])
This crisis makes it crystal clear how important our NHS is.
During the election, thousands of you campaigned with us, Keep Our NHS Public and others.
You put so much pressure on Boris Johnson that he pledged the NHS would not be on the table in a Trump trade deal.
Johnson has promised to keep our NHS off the table - you can make sure he sticks to his promise.
We need to raise £800 a month to defend our NHS.
The deadline is next Tuesday 21st April, the first date when parliament could reopen. Let's be ready to go.
YES let's get ready to defend our NHS ([link removed])
These are sad and scary times. The crisis affects all of us but not equally.
It’s hitting those already suffering from inequality, older people, and people with health issues hardest.
I know you believe in our NHS. This is a chance to convert anxiety into action.
The best thing to come out of this crisis would be an end to cuts and privatisation. But the Trade Bill which has been introduced to parliament would open up our NHS to MORE privatisation.
This is urgent. Parliament is due to reconvene next week. Today, we need our NHS more than ever - but it needs us too.
Donate now, let's defend our NHS. Every penny counts.
Yes, I'll donate to reach the target ([link removed])
With your kind donation, we plan to reach EVERY MP IN THE COUNTRY, demanding that they protect our NHS.
Once we’ve received your donation, we’ll jump into action:
* Training up people across the country to lobby their MPs effectively
* Getting supportive MPs to pledge their support en masse, online
* Hitting every MP with briefings, emails and letters in the local newspaper to get their support to amend the Trade Bill
Ellen has a training programme ready to go. Your regular donation will make this work possible.
I'll give £5 a month for our NHS ([link removed])
THANK YOU for all the action you've taken for public services for people not profit.
THANK YOU for everything you're doing every day for our NHS.
With solidarity at this difficult time.
Cat, Ellen, Chris, Pascale and Alice - the We Own It team
PS The deadline for your kind donation is 21st April. Don’t delay, please donate today! [link removed]
