Dear Friend,
American Muslims haven’t felt safe during worship services for some time. Our mosques are regularly vandalized and sometimes set on fire, bombed or attacked. Now that our religious gatherings have moved online, that hate is unfortunately following.
Online mobs are organizing on the dark web. They’re sharing meeting passwords and disrupting religious events, school classes, and support groups with hate speech and images of violence.
As the Muslim holy month of Ramadan approaches, we’re determined to help communities around the country protect their virtual events. But we need your help.
On Wednesday, April 22 at 6pm ET / 3pm PT, we’re bringing Muslim communities and allied organizations from across America together for a power-packed 60-minute online training on how to protect their virtual events during Ramadan. We’ll be joined by representatives from two of the largest webcasting services, Zoom and Facebook.
Will you forward this invitation to someone in your network who should know this important information?
While our training will focus on Ramadan, the information will be relevant to churches, synagogues, activist groups, and any community group that wants to keep its virtual events safe from hate. So please: join our free webinar and share this invitation widely!
The stakes are high. But we’re prepared. Let’s make sure we can protect ourselves and our communities.
We hope you’re healthy and safe.
