Andrei ---- Forwarded message ----  John — The election in Arizona’s First Congressional District will be one of the most consequential in not just Arizona but all of America. I’ve watched this campaign and the candidates carefully — not just as an elected official but as a mom and a voter. Today, I wanted to let you know why I’m voting for Andrei Cherny — and why I hope you’ll support him, too.  Andrei is running against David Schweikert, one of the most extreme Republicans in Congress. Schweikert co-sponsored the National Right to Life Act six times to ban abortion nationwide without any exceptions for rape, incest, or the health of the mother. And he voted against the CHIPS Act and other bipartisan legislation to build our economy. Schweikert only won by 1% in his last reelection campaign, and Cook Political Report rates AZ-01 as a “toss-up” — which means this district is one of the Democrats’ best chances in all of America at picking up one of the four seats we need to retake the House majority. We need people in Congress like Andrei Cherny. As the grandchild of four Holocaust survivors and the son of refugees from communism, the principles of freedom and democracy aren’t abstract to him — they’ve always been real. Andrei has the experience that Phoenix needs in a leader and that voters are excited about. He prosecuted border smuggling rings as Arizona Assistant Attorney General, served in uniform after 9/11, and founded a sustainability-focused business that created thousands of jobs.
