In the Detroit News, Rep. Bergman suggested that if he weren't the top spender of taxpayer funds for meal and lodging reimbursements, he would otherwise have to "sleep on a cot" in DC.

The county in which Bergman allegedly resides when he's not in Louisiana has difficulty with childhood poverty and low wages that can't sustain a family.

Several counties in our district have the highest unemployment rates in Michigan, where finding affordable housing, childcare, or medical care is a constant struggle.

Bergman isn't struggling financially. If he is, he's fiscally irresponsible.
