Race + Power Weekly

In today’s Race + Power newsletter, we honor Juneteenth with stories of resilience in pursuit of a more equitable and just tomorrow. First, in May 2024, SCOTUS issued a blow to voting rights in South Carolina—but advocates have recommitted to protecting the Black vote. Next, a new research initiative from the American Cancer Society aims to enroll 100,000 Black women to better understand race and gender disparities in cancer. Then, mutual support among Black women leaders is critically important to their advancement and success. Finally, the NPQ team curated a selection of stories that celebrate the spirit of Juneteenth!
