It’s Alexander Vindman. This is important.

On Tuesday, my twin brother Eugene Vindman won his primary election and is now the Democratic nominee to represent Virginia’s 7th district.

This is a big moment for Eugene and our campaign, and we want to start off on the strongest foot we can. So I am asking:

Can you please contribute whatever you can afford to Eugene’s campaign for Congress today? We need to show his Republican opponent and Republican super PACs that we have a strong grassroots coalition behind us.

Like many immigrants, Eugene and I were proud to join the military and serve our country, believing firmly in the ideals of America and the power of freedom. We value honesty and integrity above all else.

It’s those principles that guided Eugene and I to blow the whistle on Trump In 2019 after we heard a phone call where Trump threatened to withhold military aid unless President Zelenskyy investigated President Biden.

There was never a question. To fulfill our oaths, we had to report Trump’s corrupt phone call up the chain of command — no matter the personal risk. That decision led to Trump’s first impeachment and our abrupt dismissal.

My brother and I were both attacked by Trump. But we haven't regretted it for a second because that was the oath we took over two decades ago — to protect and serve our country.

Since then, the GOP has made it abundantly clear that they have no care or respect for our democracy. They continue to abuse their power, defend Trump, and attack our freedoms and democracy. And that’s why Eugene needed to run for Congress.

We need more members in the House who are willing to stand up to extremism and are prepared to hold corrupt officials accountable.

We need members with the courage to put their constituents first.

We need more members in the House who will defend our democracy.
