John -
The New York Times just reported that almost 5 million people in the United States live in areas that are expected to have dangerous levels of heat this weekend.1
And the forecast gets worse day by day:
Record-breaking temperatures and extreme heat will only get worse the longer we delay the bold climate action we need — so I am asking:
John, not all of us will be equally impacted by extreme heat this weekend.
But that does not mean we can sit back. Because this weekend you may not be in the danger zone for extreme heat, but next week you might be. That's what solidarity is all about.
Now is the time to band together to expose the fossil fuel companies responsible for the climate crisis and create real climate solutions.
Year-round organizing is not going to generate immediate or short-term results, but it WILL prevent the climate crisis from getting worse in the long-term. That's why we spend 365 days a year doing it.
And your first donation to 350.org will help build the long-term, community-centered mobilizing power to create a just transition to renewable energy. So please consider using the link below to make your first donation today:

Thank you for chipping in what you can. And if you can't make a donation today, that is also okay. We are all doing our part to take back our future and our planet.
In solidarity,
