Saving our Soo
Big news, friends! After 18 rounds of negotiations, six months without a contract, two authorized strikes, and several picket lines, the nurses at MyMichigan Sault have finally reached a tentative agreement.

Friends,
Thank you to everyone in our community for standing in solidarity, and especially to our nurses for your perseverance throughout this challenging period.
This tentative agreement represents the ideal outcome we aim for during strikes — a victory for nurses, the hospital, patients, and our community.
The health of Northern Michigan and the UP depends on how well we care for our essential workers. We must always show up in solidarity and demand that we put hardworking people before profit.
The credit for this achievement is solely due to the tenacity, grit, and resilience of our workers and their incredible union. Standing shoulder to shoulder with striking nurses in the Soo has been an honor.
A ratification vote will be held on Tuesday!
Congratulations to all involved!
Solidarity forever.
Onward,
-Dr. Bob
