After Senate Republicans blocked progress on banning bump stocks yesterday, I went live on MSNBC to explain what is on the line in this election.

I’ve fought for years to ban bump stocks, and while there was wider bipartisan support for this in the past, more Republicans have backed down in recent years.

It’s more important than ever to take action after the radical Supreme Court overturned a regulatory ban on bump stocks. Bump stocks, which essentially function as machine guns, are a danger to our communities.

We need to protect and expand our Senate majority and keep Donald Trump out of the White House to ensure that we have strong leaders who will take action on gun safety and stop nominations of more anti-gun safety Supreme Court justices.
