John —

In the days since a jury of 12 ordinary Americans ruled that Donald Trump is guilty on all 34 felony counts of business fraud, the former president has been on a tear — attacking the judge, jury, justice system, and anything else that causes him aggrievement.

I’m running for the U.S. Senate where I will continue to hold Trump to account — because no one is above the law. Not even a former president. Not even a wannabe dictator.

That’s why I spent time on CNN , MSNBC , and other news outlets discussing the trial’s outcome and driving home the message that Americans don’t want a convicted felon in the Oval Office.

I spoke about Speaker Mike Johnson’s shameful response to the verdict and how GOP leaders are willing to tear down our justice system rather than stand up to their disgraced leader. Their oath of office is meaningless, as we can see from the Republican leadership’s wholesale rejection of our justice system and our democracy for the sake of their own power.

It’s shameful. And it’s why I’m doing all I can to make sure Democrats hold the majority in the House and the Senate after this year’s elections. Chip in a split donation between Blue South and my campaign to help me turn out Democrats to vote across California this November so we can flip the House and protect the Democratic Senate majority. I also spoke to Trump’s comments, in which he said the public would reach “a breaking point” if he were jailed for his crimes.

This is Donald Trump once again inciting potential violence when he is sentenced. This isn’t a far-fetched conclusion. We all saw where his calls for violence could lead on January 6th.

He clearly has so little respect for the system of justice in this country, and he has no business serving as president of the United States.

As Donald Trump continues to attack our democracy, I am holding him accountable and reminding the American people of all his disgraceful actions. With your support, I will continue this work from the U.S. Senate — while Trump hopefully remains far away from the White House. John, pitch in a spit donation between Blue South and my campaign today. [[link removed]]

We cannot let Donald Trump, nor his loyal Republican acolytes in Congress, get away from their attacks on the justice system. We must continue to hold them responsible for their words and actions that endanger our Constitution.

Thank you again for your support.

Adam
