Nationwide, utility companies and monopoly corporations are paying to influence politicians and push legislation that benefits them - instead of working to transition to cleaner energy or improve the services their customers pay for.

This corrupt practice is an obvious conflict of interest. Many utilities companies are under government contracts, and when they use their exorbitant wealth to influence public policy, they’re silencing the voices of their customers.
