June 19th marks a special day in history, the day of emancipation!

I want to wish everyone a happy Freedom Day and show my love and support for the Black community and its resilience, courage, and spirit. While this is a day to celebrate progress, we still have work to do.

We must continue to confront systemic racism and injustice in all its forms, amplify diverse voices, and work together to dismantle race-based struggles.

I am continuously working in Congress towards a more inclusive and equitable society. I hope you’ll join me in celebrating and championing the Black community today!
