Dear Friends and Supporters, On this day, we honor the courageous steps taken towards liberty, starting with the Emancipation Proclamation signed by Republican President Abraham Lincoln in 1863. Lincoln's decisive action was a beacon of hope and a pivotal moment in our nation's history. It is important to remember that the Republican Party was born out of the anti-slavery movement, standing firm in the belief that our rights are endowed by God, not granted by government. This foundational principle continues to guide our commitment to uphold and protect individual freedoms. As your candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction, I am dedicated to ensuring that our public education system reflects these values. Education is the cornerstone of a free society, and it is imperative that we provide EVERY CHILD with the opportunity to succeed. The hope and promise of the American Dream have been tainted by the Progressives who see our public education system as an opportunity to indoctrinate our children instead of teaching them the necessary tools to lead successful and productive lives.
