John,
Today, I’m proud to announce that I’ve been endorsed by the Latino Victory Fund, an organization dedicated to empowering the Latino community so that the voices and values of Latinos are reflected at every level of government.
As someone who made history in 2017 as the first Latina Democrat to serve in the Florida Senate, this endorsement is incredibly meaningful to me.

I’m proud of my Colombian heritage, and I know that my story of fleeing danger at 17 and making a new home in America not only shaped my career in public service, but is something that resonates with many in Miami-Dade’s Latino community.
As Clerk of Court and Comptroller, I will maintain our shared values of hard work and community and focus on providing solutions to systemic issues that impact our residents, like investing in robust self-service centers, ensuring our courts are accountable and accessible, creating passport offices across Miami-Dade County, efficiently managing our taxpayer dollars, and empowering residents to access vital records and information on their own terms.

Latinos have always been a crucial part of our cultural tapestry in Miami-Dade, and as a Hispanic woman myself, I am running to represent our community by keeping my focus where it matters: the people.
Thank you,
Annette
