John, I just signed Arizona’s bipartisan budget.

Not only does this close the state’s $1.8 billion deficit, I’m proud to share that this new budget also makes important investments for everyday Arizonans:

🥙 Allocates $3.8 million to provide 1.5 million meals to working-class students.

💪 Funds my SAFE (Stopping Arizona’s Fentanyl Epidemic) Initiative by providing millions of dollars to equip first responders with lifesaving overdose reversal medications, fuel the Counter Drug Task Force, and grant resources to support border communities fighting drug trafficking.

🏘️ Protects last year’s historic $150 million investment in the Housing Trust Fund and commits an additional $15 million to build more affordable housing.

👪 Secures $12 million to expand access to affordable, quality childcare for everyday Arizonans.

John, I knew working together with a Republican-led state legislature was going to be an uphill battle.
