Under far-right Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli military
has killed at least 36,000 Palestinians, destroyed over 70 percent of
civilian infrastructure, and dropped more bombs on Gaza than were dropped
in Germany during World War II.
And yet, U.S. leaders invited Netanyahu to give a joint address to
Congress on July 24. It is utterly shameful.
Netanyahu is a war criminal overseeing the genocide and ethnic cleansing
of Palestinians — there is no good reason for him to be given this
platform.

Netanyahu and his administration are still actively carrying out what
historian Robert Pape has called “one of the most intense civilian
punishment campaigns in history.”
Not only does the Israeli military continue to bomb refugee camps,
schools, and hospitals in Gaza, but they’re still blocking desperately
needed food, water, and medical aid from reaching those who need it. As a
result, more than 1 million Palestinians could soon starve due to this
man-made famine.
We need our leaders in Washington to stop using our taxpayer dollars to
send billions in weapons and bombs to Israel, and demand a permanent
ceasefire and the release of all hostages — not roll out the red carpet
for Netanyahu.
