Juneteenth is not just a celebration; it’s a call to action. Despite the abolition of slavery in 1865, racial inequality and oppression continue to this day.
We must confront systemic racism and work toward dismantling oppressive structures.
The celebration of Juneteenth and Pride offers an opportunity for reflection on intersecting identities and the importance of supporting Black LGBTQ+ youth, activists, and organizations.
