Friend, a LOT has happened in the last few months.

Here I am speaking at our Texas Democratic Convention in El Paso two weeks ago.

I have a handful of great highlights to share (and a little surprise guest at the end), but first, I have a quick question: My team and I need to raise $65,000 a day to keep this grassroots movement going, but we're coming up $10,672 short today. With just a few hours left, I'm personally asking: Will you chip in $5 to help me beat Ted Cruz?

I've always known that Ted Cruz is wrong for Texas – but until Jan. 6, I never could have imagined running against him myself.

After that day, I knew without a doubt that Texans needed a Senator we can be proud of and that I'd do everything in my power to retire Ted Cruz. So, after much consideration and talking it over with my wife, Aly, I launched my campaign. 

Since then I've traveled all over Texas sharing our message with voters, and the response has been incredible. Again and again, I'm seeing what I know to be true: Texans are so much better than Ted Cruz makes us out to be. We're ready for a Senator who truly reflects our state.

I knew I wasn't the only one who was fed up with Ted Cruz, but I never could've imagined the outpouring of grassroots support we'd receive. Thanks to folks like you, we're building a powerful movement to take down Ted Cruz, and experts are taking notice.

And it gets even better: Since we first launched our campaign, we've made huge gains in the polls. I am now TIED with Ted Cruz at 41%! 

Yes, this race is still an uphill battle – but I've never been more confident, friend. In my first race back in 2018, folks didn't give me a chance – even up to Election Day. I put in the work, and with the help of a strong grassroots team, I beat the odds and defeated a 22-year incumbent. 

With a little over four months to go, we're already better off than we were then, friend.

The only thing that worries me is this: Ted Cruz is not going down without a fight, and this is shaping up to be one of the most expensive races in the country. He's raised over $51 million – more than any other 2024 Republican Senate candidate – and GOP super PAC Club for Growth has pledged $10 million to help him win.

To fight back, I need to raise $65,000 a day, and right now, I'm falling short.

This team's support has gotten me so far already, and I'm counting on you to power us through the last few months to Election Day. Will you chip in $5, $25, or anything you can spare to help me fire Ted Cruz this November and be the leader Texans need in the Senate?
