Friend,

My home community has never been top of mind for Washington, but that never stopped our family from believing in this community’s potential and fighting for what we deserve. 

Slowly but surely, we're winning that fight. We've brought hundreds of millions of dollars back to Northern Ohio, to rebuild our infrastructure, recharge our economy, and restore our environment.

My parents didn't have a college education, and they never had much money. But they made a good life for us here, the same way so many Ohioans did: with hard work, perseverance, and the support of their community.

Today, I live in the same house in Toledo that they did — and I proudly represent that same community in Congress.

It's thanks to the sacrifices they made and the values they passed down to me that I'm here, friend. And it's the privilege of my life to go to work every day and fight for the community that raised me.

Here's the truth: the Heartland has been overlooked and underserved for too long.

That's why I'm fighting for real, transformative investments in communities like ours — investments that create good-paying jobs, protect our Great Lakes and deliver a better future for working people everywhere.

I'll never stop fighting for our Heartland, friend, because this is my home too. Thanks for standing with me.
