We’re working to inform you on the issues facing the country ahead of the most consequential presidential debate in years.

Hi John,

Next week will mark the first debate between President Biden and former President Trump since the 2020 elections. So much has happened since then: The end of the COVID-19 emergency. Soaring prices at home. Wars in Europe and the Middle East. A historic crisis at the southern border.

Each of these challenges on their own would be difficult, but together they will require all of us working as one nation towards a better future. Now more than ever we need leaders who can unify the country and present a plan for tackling these crises.

No Labels will not be endorsing a presidential candidate in this year’s election. We will instead be focused on ensuring that every independent-minded voter has the information they need to decide on who they want leading the country for the next four years.

Next week, we will be publishing a debate ‘cheat-sheet’ that will help you get up to speed on where the two candidates stand on key issues, what questions the moderators should be asking, and so much more.

In the meantime – here’s one good way to get up to speed. Over the last few weeks, we’ve been hosting expert voices on the No Labels Talks podcast to inform listeners on issues that the two candidates should be addressing next Thursday.

Seth Cropsey, President of the Yorktown Institute ([link removed] ) , joined us first to discuss how today’s global threats mirror the geopolitical climate of the 1930s, and how hostile powers like Iran, China, and Russia are directly gunning for the United States and the international order we uphold.

Kori Schake, Senior Fellow and Director of Foreign and Defense Policy Studies at the American Enterprise Institute ([link removed] ) , spoke with us on the need for renewed investments in our national defense to meet the demands of addressing the security challenges popping up in Europe, the Middle East, the Indo-Pacific, and elsewhere around the world.

Allysia Finley, Wall Street Journal Editorial Board member ([link removed] ) , was our featured guest for our discussion on the Biden administration’s controversial student debt relief programs, and how they fit into the larger debate around rising inflation and government spending.

And last week, Jessica Vaughan, Director for Policy Studies for the Center for Immigration Studies ([link removed] ) , joined us to weigh in on the ongoing crisis at the southern border amid record levels of both migrants and lethal drugs entering the country.
