Today is a historic day for immigrant families across the nation.

Earlier today, President Biden announced new executive orders that will shield undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens from deportation, and give them a pathway to citizenship.

Over half a million people in this country will be able to stay with their families because of President Biden’s executive orders today. But that’s not all: These protections will also extend to over 50,000 children of undocumented spouses.

This is transformational policy.

As an immigrant, I know firsthand the challenges historic immigration policies have posed for immigrant families. I immigrated here as a young child, and the citizenship process was incredibly difficult. So knowing that the pathway to citizenship will be more accessible to immigrants is incredible.

These life-changing policies are the reason we need President Biden to stay in office. He has continued to advocate for immigrant families and we cannot afford to lose his leadership in the White House.
