Our fight for reproductive freedom must continue — and not just in court.
Team — did you see the news?
Last week, the Supreme Court temporarily preserved access to mifepristone, a pill used in 2/3 of all abortions nationwide.
In April 2023, a Federal Judge in Texas overturned the FDA’s approval of mifepristone — a drug that for 20 years has been scientifically proven to be safe and effective.
When that lawsuit was filed, I couldn’t stand on the sidelines. I joined several states to file a brief urging the Supreme Court against restricting mifepristone, and filed my own lawsuit that nullified the Texas case’s impact on Washington and 17 other states.
While this recent attack on reproductive freedom may have failed, we can’t let our guard down. This wasn’t the first radical attack on abortion access, and it won’t be the last.
In my lawsuit against the FDA, I will continue to argue that the current guidelines for mifepristone are unnecessary and unlawful. Mifepristone is one of just 70 drugs regulated by the FDA that are heavily restricted — even though it’s safer than “low-risk” drugs like penicillin and Viagra! I will fight to expand access to this safe medication.
Our fight for reproductive freedom must continue — and not just in court.
Your freedoms are at stake in this election. Anti-choice Republican Dave Reichert voted for a nationwide abortion ban that would have instituted criminal penalties against doctors. His positions are so extreme, the Seattle Times labeled him an “anti-abortion stalwart.”

As Governor, I will always fight to preserve access to safe, effective abortions.
