Friend,
The House GOP has been hard at work
for the past couple of weeks. In fact, this is the most legislation
they’ve introduced in a while. If they were capable of thinking about
anything but the orange convict, we might actually call this past
week… productive? But come on, we all know that’s not possible. The
very thought of passing something the American people could actually
use probably makes members like MTG and Matt Gaetz break out in
hives.
So, instead, they went with the
usual pointless crap that is both ridiculous and could never pass the
House anyways with their razor thin majority that seems to be
shrinking by the day. We must say though, this set of bills is the
most blatant form of orange-nosing we’ve seen yet. In addition to
naming Dulles Airport after the convict, they want to name an area of
water surrounding Florida the "Donald John Trump Exclusive Economic
Zone of the United States." And the cherry on top? Not only does the
House GOP want to bring back the $500 bill, but they want to put a
portrait of Trump on the front of it. As far as we’re concerned, the
only currency Trump should be using is cigarettes for prison yard
poker games.
If you’re thinking all of this
sounds ridiculous, that’s because it is. They’re doing this on
purpose. The GOP knows that Project 2025 is so radical and so
dangerous that introducing “cute” legislation is the only way to
distract voters. This stuff will dominate cable TV for days because of
how completely outlandish it is. But you know what won’t be mentioned?
The Trump revenge tour. The one where he weaponizes institutions, bans
abortion, and makes it so that he can stay in office forever. The one
that the spineless GOP will support out of fear.
Don’t get us wrong, this level of
lunacy can be unsettling. A convicted felon on a $500 bill moving
through the United States Congress is gross and disrespectful. But
just remember, it’s all part of a plan. Don’t take the bait. Don’t
fall into their trap. Just keep your sights set on what really
matters: winning in November. Because if we do that, Trump moves towards
prison and the rest of America moves toward a better future. Help
us keep voters in the right mindset >>
