Now that we are only 139 days from the election, the GOP’s strategic plans to undermine the 2024 election are beginning to take shape in plain sight for perceptive observers.

At the spearhead of the shadowy operations to undermine Election 2024 is the GOP’s indispensable hatchet man, Congressman Jim Jordan.

One key prong of the GOP’s 2024 strategy involves using lawfare to muddy the waters and undermine Trump’s convictions. It’s why we’ve seen Jim Jordan use his role as Chair of the House Judiciary Committee to lead an all-out attack on every attorney prosecuting Trump over the past few weeks.

The other key pillar of the strategy involves undermining faith and integrity in our election system via disinformation.

At the center of this strategy is the ironically named House Weaponization Committee. This committee, chaired by Congressman Jordan, claims to investigate ways in which the Federal Government has been “weaponized” to undermine the conservative movement.

In practice, the committee is everything that it purports to be against; it is a tool wielded by the GOP to undermine key pillars of our electoral system and weaponize the federal government to work in favor of a Trump victory this 2024.

Just this past week the so called weaponization committee helped to shut down the Stanford Internet Observatory which played a key role in fighting election and COVID-19 misinformation in 2020. The GOP knows that fact-checking organizations massively discredited their propaganda and disinformation efforts and played a role in their 2020 defeat.

For 2024, they want to silence all of the watchdogs so that their disinformation campaigns can fly under the radar and reach their prospective audiences. They don’t want anyone to be able to call them on their lies.

Jim Jordan stands to become speaker of the house in 2025. We’ve seen what he’s done as a committee chair to undermine the truth and faith in our electoral system - imagine what he’ll do with even more power. We should all be TERRIFIED of this possibility because it will amount to nothing short of a fascist controlling one of America’s most powerful legislative bodies.
