Juneteenth is our country's second independence day - a
celebration and commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United
States. A Jill Stein Administration will guarantee as a human right
reparations to the descendants of African slaves for the historic
crime of enslavement. Reparations is a cornerstone of the Black
Agenda, but far from the only policy needed to begin to redress what
has been stolen from the Black community over 400+ years.
Jill and our guests will discuss pressing issues facing the
Black American community and how our campaign is working together with
members of the community on an agenda to facilitate Black
liberation.
Confirmed guests include:
Sabby Sabs is an independent media leader in news,
interviews, and commentary as the host of Sabby Sabs podcast and
co-host of Revolutionary Blackout Network.
Minister Caliph Muab-El is Executive Director of
Breaking Barriers Mentoring, whose mission is to educate, uplift, and
support those who are directly impacted by incarceration. He is
currently leading a team of community organizers who are collecting
ballot access signatures for Jill Stein in Illinois and Indiana.
Zaki Baruti is President/General of the Universal
African People's Organization, as well as a former educator in East
St. Louis and a former candidate for governor of Missouri.
Marsha Coleman-Adebayo is a former senior policy
analyst for the US Environmental Protection Agency, whistleblower, and
leader with the National Whistleblower Center, EPA Employees Against
Racial Discrimination and the No FEAR Coalition.
Sherman Wells is a co-founder of U.N.T.A.M.E.D, a
nationwide organization dedicated to uplifting the African American
community and inspire the marginalized in urban settings to envision
and realize possibilities beyond their current circumstances to
reclaim their futures.
Please join this important
conversation with a powerhouse lineup of changemakers and help fire up
the fight to get our campaign for true racial justice on the ballot in
Illinois, Indiana, and across the country!
