Hi John, it’s Jennifer Rouse –
Today is Primary Day in Virginia. But for Aaron and me, today holds even more significance—it marks the day we first met.
It’s a love story fitting for the kind of people we are. We both showed up to vote at the same polling location, at the same time. Some might call it a coincidence, but I know better. It must have been a gift from God because, before I could leave, Aaron was there to introduce himself. The rest was history.
I’m forever grateful to have Aaron in my life. He’s a remarkable husband, an incredible father, and a public servant who makes our Commonwealth proud. No matter what he does, he always gives it his all.
One of the first things I learned about Aaron on that fateful day was his ability to seize the moment when an opportunity arises. He grew up being told that kids who look like him and come from his neighborhood don’t grow up to be NFL players, and they certainly don’t become State Senators.
However, one of the things I fell in love with about Aaron is that when he sets his mind to something, he will make it happen. It brought him to the City Council, the State Senate, and, most importantly, us together. And now, as he takes on his next challenge in his campaign for Lieutenant Governor, I am proud to stand by his side.
Happy Primary Day, Aaron. I love you! VIRGINIA — GET OUT AND VOTE! 🗳️

P.S. Aaron doesn’t like asking for donations from hardworking people like you to his campaign for Lieutenant Governor. But, it’s the only way we can secure the resources we need to get his message out. Will you chip in $10, or any amount you’re able, to support his campaign?
