As I write this, Elon Musk is the richest person on Earth, with a net worth estimated at $214.1 billion.*
By the way, that’s up almost $20 billion from just two months ago.
And he’s going to be even richer, because his car company, Tesla, just approved a $48 billion pay package for him.
These dollar amounts are simply absurd.
Nobody needs that much money.
Nobody deserves that much money.
Nobody is “worth” that much more than the rest of us.
Tell Elon Musk:
You already have far more money than anyone could ever need. Asking for $48 billion *more* is downright pathological. You should self-impose a 100% tax on your Tesla pay package and give the entire $48 billion to the U.S. Treasury so the federal government can use it to help everyday Americans.

*That’s according to Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires list. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: If there are so many billionaires whose fortunes are increasing so rapidly that there’s a “need” to track their wealth in real time, our priorities as a society may be out of whack.
