I started my career in public health to provide people access to the care they need when they need it. I never thought I would one day need to fight that same battle as Lieutenant Governor. Next month Trump and his anti-choice GOP will be descending on Wisconsin — we need to be ready to fight their dangerous rhetoric and get out the vote to support the fundamental right to make our own healthcare decisions. Next month MAGA politicians from across the country are going to gather here in Wisconsin to nominate Donald Trump as the Republican Party’s presidential candidate. There will be LOTS of news coverage and speeches — but one thing you can be certain there will be silence on is abortion rights, despite it being many voters’ #1 issue this election. So before Trump and the GOP descend on Wisconsin, I want to remind you that:

June 24 marks when Trump’s hand-picked Supreme Court passed its Dobbs decision overturning Roe v. Wade. For the first time since 1973, millions of women across the country now have fewer rights than their mothers had growing up.
Most Americans support protecting access to abortion. Recent polling shows that 63% of Americans believe abortion should be legal in most cases. Despite this, MAGA Republicans continue to push for laws that would ban abortion, punish the women seeking them, and jail the doctors providing them.
Trump and the GOP are coming to Wisconsin because we’re a top TOSS UP state. They’re using this convention to get their message out to undecided voters in one of the most important swing states — and we need to be ready to fight back with the truth: a vote for Trump this November is a vote to say goodbye to your bodily autonomy.

Our fight for reproductive rights continues, and right now our priority has to be winning this November. We cannot let Trump have a second term in the White House. To do that, we HAVE to win swing states like Wisconsin — will you chip in a donation today to fund our Get Out The Vote efforts?
