John, did you catch our email earlier this month?
The climate emergency is here, and we’re calling on President Biden to take immediate action. Can you add your name now to join us in our demand?
As you read this email, a scorching heat wave is set to break records across the country, impacting half of the U.S. population.1
As these heat waves become more common, we must remember that extreme heat is the number one weather-related killer.2 It’s dangerous, it puts lives at risk, and it’s only going to get worse as fossil fuel companies keep us on the path to climate destruction.
Thankfully, President Biden has the power to turn things around. By declaring a climate emergency, he can secure the resources needed to keep people safe and transition to renewable energy.
But Biden will only declare a climate emergency if we’re louder than the oil and gas lobbyists in Washington, D.C.
Thank you,

John -
All across the country, people are experiencing extreme climate-related disasters: deadly tornadoes on Memorial Day weekend, sweeping wildfires in California, storms strong enough to blow out office windows in Houston, and more.1,2,3
It’s undeniable at this point: the climate emergency is at our doorstep. And as we experience intensifying heat waves this summer, these problems are only going to get worse.
That’s why we’re calling on President Biden to take immediate and decisive action by declaring a climate emergency. John, will you sign the petition for a climate emergency today?
This is not the first time we’ve called on President Biden to declare a climate emergency.
President Biden will be facing a re-election in the next few months, and he will do anything to be likable and get your votes. According to a recent poll, an overwhelming majority of people in the United States believe the climate crisis needs to be addressed — and 50% think it needs to be addressed right now.4
This is why we are targeting him again and reminding him: we need a president who takes climate seriously.
Sign our petition calling on President Biden to take action and declare a climate emergency now.
As President, Biden holds the power to meet this moment with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. By declaring a climate emergency, he can marshal the resources both to keep people safe during extreme climate-related events and to put us on a path toward a clean energy future.
If we all band together, we can drown out Big Oil, the special interest groups, and the rich corporate lobbyists who are doing everything in their power to keep us on our current path toward climate destruction.
In solidarity,
