The Summer 2024 PAWS Magazine is here, and it’s filled with the latest news and updates about animal welfare in Chicago.

This issue looks at the current crisis homeless and at-risk pets are facing—a nationwide upswing in pet relinquishment and euthanasia—and how we’re working with Chicago Animal Care and Control to protect the most vulnerable.

We also highlight some of the modern miracles performed at our Medical Center and share photos of the animals you helped save. And we celebrate Nan and Wayne Kocourek: a dynamic and inspiring couple, making a difference for generations to come through their generosity.
