Dear John,
The Women’s and Fair Practices Departments and AFGE Pride are proud to announce the launch of three new self-paced webinars this Pride Month. These interactive modules will help members learn more about what AFGE Pride does, how to support the LGBTQIA+ community within the union, and what being an ally to the community really looks like.
Our AFGE PRIDE Overview module will cover the goals of AFGE Pride, why the work of AFGE Pride is important, how to be an ally to your LGBTQIA+ members, how union contracts can promote LGBTQIA+ rights, and how legislation impacts the LGBTQIA+ community.

Our AFGE PRIDE: How to Be An Ally module will cover the definition of “privilege,” how you can use your privilege to stand up for others, how to be an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, how to be an ally to communities of color, and how to be an ally to women.

Our AFGE PRIDE: Using Pronouns module will cover what a pronoun is and how we use them, common third-person pronouns, why pronouns matter, and how pronouns support inclusion.
