Dear supporter,
Thank you to many of you who have contacted us, filled out our surveys and responded to our emails over the past few weeks. We’ve taken that feedback and built an open letter ([link removed]) you can sign and send to politicians to push them in the right direction.
Once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides, the government will be rolling out even more massive borrowing and spending plans to assist the economy. There are good and bad ways to do this. We know that our leaders are currently crafting their economic recovery programs and it’s vital that we send a message now about which basic principles they should follow when designing any new economic recovery program.
That’s why the Canadian Taxpayers Federation has crafted an open letter to the party leaders in Parliament. It lays out four basic principles that we think should be followed. Maybe you agree with all four of them, maybe you only agree with a couple of them. We’ve drafted the letter such that you get to choose which ones you want to send to the party leaders.
Please take a minute to review the open letter, select which principles you think they should follow and fill out your information so that we can send them your letter. You can read and sign the open letter here: [link removed].
These are unprecedented times and our leaders need to hear from as many Canadian taxpayers as possible. They need as much direction as we can give them. So we are encouraging every letter signer to share the link with their friends and family. The CTF will also be purchasing ads to share the open letter on social media channels.
Thanks for doing your part.
* Scott, Todd, Shannon and the entire CTF team
P.S.: Help us reach more Canadians with the open letter. Even a $10 donation can help us put the letter in front of 1,000 people. You can contribute through our secure donation website here: [link removed].
