I wanted to pass along my latest update on what I have been doing to fight for you, Texas’ 21st Congressional District, and our country as a whole:
Congress votes to hold Merrick Garland in contempt
There are only two reasons why Attorney General Merrick Garland doesn't want us to hear the audio tapes of President Biden: either the transcript doesn't match the audio, or the audio is so bad that he doesn't want us to hear it.
That’s why Congress voted to hold Garland in contempt for stonewalling information — the American people deserve to hear the tapes.
Fighting for a strong military
The United States military is not meant to be a social experiment wrapped in a uniform; its purpose is to deter and, if necessary, destroy America's enemies and threats to our way of life. The American people need and deserve the kind of security that's only possible with a serious, mission-first military, and the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act does just that.
Last week, House Republicans voted to refocus the priorities of the Pentagon back on readiness and lethality where it needs to be. I was pleased my amendment to defund Biden’s climate change hysteria policies at the Pentagon passed on a bi-partisan basis. This legislation also ends the authorization of funding for Biden's illegal abortion travel fund, gender transition procedures, and wasteful and divisive DEI offices. This bill shows what Republicans are capable of when we unite with principle and purpose in mind.
104 co-sponsors to SAVE American elections
Only Americans should vote in American elections.
Thank you to the 104 members of Congress who are standing up to protect American elections by co-sponsoring my bill: the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act! This legislation would require proof of citizenship in order to vote. Secure elections are a key cornerstone for any representative government; without them, we won't have a country.
