Last week, the Senate GOP blocked a bill that would protect access to in vitro fertilization nationwide.

Across the country, we're seeing unprecedented attacks on IVF: Months ago, the Alabama legislature made national headlines by banning IVF statewide. And just last week, the Idaho Republican Party revised their official party platform to categorize any destruction of embryos, a practice that is often a normal part of IVF, as murder.

Republicans have tried to argue that they don't need to pass this bill because IVF isn't under threat—but we know better.

And perhaps most infuriating—Republicans continue to dodge questions, spread misinformation, and outright lie on this issue. Just 24 hours after voting against this bill to protect IVF, GOP Senator Rick Scott dropped millions on an ad buy claiming he supports it.

And yet, what gives us hope in moments like these are the heroes who are working to protect our rights and families every day. Endorsed candidate Senator Tammy Duckworth first introduced legislation to protect IVF in 2022, and she's never stopped fighting.

She's a shining example of why we work so hard to elect pro-choice champions at every level of government.
