If there’s anything this crisis has taught us, it’s that leadership matters at every level of government. In the White House, in Congress, and in our state governments, we need leaders and representatives who will listen to experts, look at the facts, and make smart decisions that keep us safe and make our lives better.

That’s why I’m more fired up than ever to win this race and get to work for CA-08 -- and take on the challenges that lie ahead. But what I am a little worried about, John, is the sheer amount of money and fundraising power that we’re up against.

My opponent Jay Obernolte is a self-funder who has given his campaign $1.2 million between loans and pure contributions. On top of that, he has been endorsed by President Trump, which gives the entire GOP establishment, its wealthy donors, and PACs, the signal to support him further.

If we’re going to win this race, it’s critical that we keep up with Obernolte’s fundraising momentum. So, I have to ask: can you make a donation to help us make sure we’re on track to hit our April fundraising goal?

CA-08 is our best opportunity to flip another California district from red to blue.

The registration gap between Republicans and Democrats in CA-08 has narrowed to only 4% over the last year. That’s an even slimmer margin than Democrats overcame in numerous California House races in 2018.

As we continue to gain ground, I’m determined to continue running a campaign that’s by, of, and for the people of CA-08.
