Across the globe, children are being forced to flee their homes, leaving everything behind in search of safety.
Some, such as 9-year old Jean in Haiti, find their lives changed at the sounds of violent conflict, with no option but to run — often without knowing where to go next. Others, like the many children of Gaza, have been relocated three or four times as they long for peace and a sense of normalcy.
No child should have to go through such horrific experiences. UNICEF is working to address the global refugee crisis and protect children on the move searching for peace by establishing Child-Friendly Spaces where kids can access mental health and psychosocial support, health care, protection and other services.
In honor of World Refugee Day later this week, your gift will be 3X matched to bring vital supplies like food, water and shelter. Make a gift today and triple your impact to send support and relief to children on the move >> |
In Gaza, at least 600,000 children are currently displaced because of airstrikes on their homes. To support their immediate needs and address the ongoing malnutrition crisis, UNICEF is providing essential supplies like tents, blankets and clothes as well as distributing high-energy biscuits and micronutrient supplements to help them stay healthy. In Sudan, an estimated 4 million children have fled their homes since April of last year, with nearly 1 million of those children crossing into neighboring countries due to ongoing war and violence. UNICEF is providing lifesaving aid to protect children from violence and essential services in health, nutrition and education to help prevent long-term effects
on generations to come.
As conflict continues and more children are displaced, humanitarian needs continue to rise. With your help we can triple UNICEF's efforts in responding to children’s needs.
Send triple the protection and support to children forced to flee their homes.
Thank you for your steadfast support,
