Our opponent’s low fundraising totals won’t stop the GOP from trying to take this seat. In fact, his lackluster fundraising will send a bat signal to dark money groups and GOP mega-donors who will cut huge checks to prop up his campaign after a disappointing quarter. On top of that, a major Republican Super PAC announced this week it plans to spend $18.5 MILLION in Florida to defeat Democrats. Close races like ours in FL-26 will determine who holds the House majority, so the GOP is going to use millions from their campaign coffers to help our opponent.
