Dear Friend,

In less than 48 hours, we'll celebrate The Longest Day®
- the summer solstice. People around the world will come
together to outshine the darkness of Alzheimer's disease through a
fundraising activity of their choice. Each of these efforts will help
fight this cruel disease that impacts the lives of more than 55
million people worldwide.

You can join this powerful movement by
supporting The Longest Day $20,000 Match Challenge. Thanks to a pledge
from a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous, your gift can be
matched 2X - if we're able to raise the same amount by midnight
on the summer solstice, June 20. Their gift will help support local
public policy and advocacy initiatives, while your contribution can go
twice far to help provide care and support and advance research. Take
action now to make 2X the impact.

The Longest Day makes me think of the great light of hope we
can shine through our actions and generous support. Participants fight
the darkness of Alzheimer's and all other dementia through a
fundraising activity of their choice on a day that works for them.
With sports tournaments, card games, parties, baking and more,
participants raise funds to advance the care, support and research
efforts of the Association.

Friend, it's
critical that we take advantage of every minute of this fight. I'm so
grateful that you're an important part of our community. That's why
I'm urging you today to help us get a head start on The Longest Day by
donating now, while your first gift can go twice as far to help
provide care and support and power research breakthroughs all year
long.

Today, the number of Americans living with or affected by
Alzheimer's is growing - as is the public health impact on us
all. Did you know the lifetime risk for Alzheimer's at age 45 is
approximately 1 in 10 for men and an alarming 1 in 5 for women? That
means 10% of all men and 20% of all women are at risk of losing
everything to this terrible disease - time, memories,
independence and, ultimately, life. This disease is relentless, and
our efforts must be, too.

We must make the most of every single
day in this fight - for the sake of every family impacted by
Alzheimer's. While The Longest Day represents just one day in the
year, it is crucial that we maximize the global swell of support to
heighten our efforts to raise awareness, provide care and support,
accelerate research, encourage action and create conversation about
Alzheimer's and all other dementia.

In just a few days, this special
opportunity will be over. Don't wait - support The Longest Day
$20,000 Match Challenge before time runs out. Please make your first
gift while it can still make twice the impact to:

* Provide free resources to the millions of Americans affected by
Alzheimer's, from our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900) to our
website at alz.org to our

education programs and

Community Resource Finder.

* Lead the global effort to eliminate Alzheimer's by bringing
researchers together to accelerate the pace of discovery toward
methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
* Advocate unrelentingly for public policies that will increase
federal research funding and support those impacted by
Alzheimer's.

Alzheimer's and the families who love them.

Please don't let this special day pass
you by without taking action. Please give now, while your support can
make twice the difference to further our mission to lead the way to
end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by accelerating global
research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing
quality care and support.

The progress we have made - and
the progress we must and will make together - is only possible
because of you. I truly hope The Longest Day is the day you join the
fight.

With gratitude,
