Some alarming data has made us reassess our strategy.

Polls are showing Kari Lake gaining on Ruben. For a while it seemed like every poll had Ruben up — some considerably.

But the new data shows what we’ve known all along: This race is one of the closest in the country. A pure toss-up. And on top of that, it will be one of the most expensive, too.

But what we’ve also seen is that a lot of people think Arizona is safe. That Kari Lake couldn’t possibly win, and that Ruben is a shoo-in for the U.S. Senate.

This could not be further from the truth.

This race is most certainly NOT locked up. And before anybody forgets, remember this: Kari Lake lost her last campaign by less than 1% of all votes cast. She’s learned a thing or two since then, and she’s a dangerous threat.

So, when we ask you for donations, please know that we’re putting every dollar we raise back into an efficient, effective campaign. We’re spending millions of dollars as we speak running ads to defend Ruben against constant batteries of attack ads.

This is serious, and we need to treat Arizona like the toss-up it is.
