– and we can do it again in November!

Hey John,

I have a lot more Pride events to hit this month, and the Idaho Democratic Convention is coming up on Friday.

Plus, I’ve been invited on to a podcast to talk about the threat of Project 2025, so watch out for that!

We are quickly approaching the end of Pride Month and the end of the FEC fundraising quarter. June 30th may be the most important day of this campaign.

There’s good news and bad news here, John. The bad news is that we are way behind Mike Simpson’s corporate and institutional donors.

If we can’t get the numbers to show the media and the national party that we can flip this seat in November, then it’s unlikely fundraising will improve in the final quarter before the election.

Whatever you can commit, your help could mean the difference between flipping this seat and the House or keeping Mike Simpson and his gun-lobby backers in Congress this year.

Will you help me protect our kids, our community, and American women across the country by joining our team as a monthly supporter today?

Ending this month strong is the only way to guarantee we can grow our campaign and unseat MAGA Mike Simpson this year.

But here’s the good news: we can STILL flip this seat even if we don’t catch up with Simpson’s fundraising, John.

Last week in Ohio, another GOP-controlled state, Republican Michael Rulli won a special election for the House seat in a district that Republicans usually win by over 30 points.

Rulli’s Democrat opponent, Michael Kripchak, raised only $20,000 compared to Rulli’s $700,000. Everyone expected Rulli to win this seat in a landslide, but that was NOT the case.

Kripchak had barely any resources to promote his campaign, and still he came just 9.4 points short of winning!

A screenshot of the special election results in Ohio’s sixth congressional district. Michael Rulli won with a total of 32,627 votes or 54.7% of the vote. Democrat Michael Kripchak received 27,062 votes or 45.3% of the vote.

We are already more prepared than Kripchak’s campaign was, and I expect even better turnout in ID-02 this November.

No matter where you live, John, Democrats need you, your family, and your friends to vote this year.

This election has the potential to impact every government agency and every law passed by Congress. If we don’t choose our future, someone else will.

Thank you for being on this journey with me, for protecting our democracy, and for giving me hope that a better future for all Americans is just around the corner.

David Roth is a single, gay dad running for Idaho’s Second Congressional District. We’re going up against a GOP incumbent who has been in this seat for 25 years. It’s time for change in Idaho, and our grassroots campaign is building on the momentum that began in David’s race for U.S. Senate last cycle. The GOP is not planning to defend this seat, so we plan to take it from them and help Democrats retake the House majority next year. We’d love your support to build a solid campaign to bring progress to Idaho and the country.
