Today, I'm not writing to you as a political pundit, but as a native Delawarean who's concerned about the condition of our democracy and our rights.

I believe that the upcoming election is one of the most crucial yet and Delaware is a must-win if we want to keep our Democratic Senate majority. That's why I'm supporting Lisa Blunt Rochester to become our country's fourth Black woman Senator.

I can tell you from my experience working for President Obama in '08 and '12 that the summer months before Election Day can be extremely tough for fundraising, but vitally important in terms of building infrastructure for the remainder of the race.
