Watercraft inspection stations are open and on the lookout for AIS

CHEYENNE — Watercraft inspection stations across Wyoming have opened for the boating season and are on the lookout for aquatic invasive species. By the end of May, four watercraft harboring invasive mussels were intercepted coming into the state by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. *Two of those watercraft traveled through the Interstate-80 Evanston check station. Report dead wild rabbits to Game and Fish
Cottontail Rabbit
CHEYENNE — Wyomingites are being asked to keep a lookout for dead rabbits in their yards, rural property and other outdoor areas. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is continuing surveillance for Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus 2 (RHDV2). The disease was first detected in Wyoming in December 2020 and has been identified in 20 rabbits across eight counties in 2024. *Testing rabbits is key to monitoring the disease spread.
